Do we really care?

We all celebrated the triumph of Slumdog Millionaire Oscars success, felt awful for all the miseries that children face in india. What are we really care of how these children suffer? Will the child actor of this movie will get a better life?
What ponder me to sense this is a movie salaam Bombay which was nominated for Oscar in 1989.incidentally that movie also focused on street children life in Bombay. t won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Hindi, , the Golden Camera and Audience Awards at the Cannes Film Festival.
I tried to inquire about the child actor of that movie Shafiq Syed, on the net who also turned out to be a slum dweller. He got National Film Award for Best Child Artist and president medal. That made me curious of knowing what he is doing nowadays? It doesn’t surprises me to know that he is a rickshaw driver now. He is driving rickshaw in Bangalore. He got 5 minute fame, all accolade but at the end of the day, he remained at where he had started.
It clearly exposes us, our Indian system where we pursue Hypocrisy, make loud noise for everything but don't act or react. We have enough smart peoples who use once poverty, pain or death for there personal benefit without doing any thing effective. I just hope that this incident must open eyes of people concerned and this thing must not repeat with slumdog kids and they should get a meaningful life now.

I hope that too......
But the question that is still left unanswered is what are we doing towards it?
Hope that we can find the answers and work towards it more forcefully!!
